Alice Maddicott is a writer and artist, whose work explores the boundaries between writing and visual art, often seeking to excavate a sense of memory and place as well as the secret and personal history of characters, buildings and objects as opposed to historical facts. 2015 saw the publication of her collaborative poetry book The City with Serbian poet Ana Seferovic and The Travelogue of The Car Boot Museum, the accompanying text to her Somerset Art Works. She was writer in residence for the 2015 Bath International Literature Festival and also writer in residence in 2009 for the Yorkshire Dales National Park’s 60th anniversary.
