Visitors were invited to dig up or take a clean copy of the text piece, to follow it through the three levels of the prison, before burying it back in the earth as they leave.
Starting with the idea of B-Wing as sentient building this work seeks to explore how it could be seen without the imposition of its human history. Starting in this cell, the work seeks to create a safe space for the true nature of the building, where its lost thoughts can be heard and its memories excavated, before being carried with the viewer on an alternative exploration of hidden beauty and incidental details.
